Haul Preview: Boxing Day 2010

Hello All! I am back from Christmas and ready to get back to blogging.

I thought I would start of with a simple Haul Preview of my Boxing Day purchases. This year I decided against trudging into the local mall to shop and decided my time would be better spent online shopping. I even made lists ahead of time to keep myself on-task and get only what I wanted. For the most part, I managed to stick to my list.

Here is a preview of the items I will be showing you in two Haul posts that will likely go up next week.

MAC

I decided I couldn't wait for the Cham Pale collection to be released to get the items I wanted. I had read (and posted it too) that the collection would be released in Canada on December 26th. Apparently that is not true - the last collection released online was the Marcel Wanders one.

I ordered:

-Pro Palette Eye Shadow x 4
-Pro Palette Eye Shadow x 15
-Eye Shadow in Memorabilia
-Eye Shadow/Pro Palette Refill Pans in:
Naked Lunch, Bisque, Hush, Vex, Orb, Mystery, Malt, Jest, Haux, Crystal, Corduroy, Arena

The deal I got on this purchase was free Express shipping, which means I should have my order in the next few days.

LUSH

Here's where my list kind of went out the window. I had 5 things I wanted to order - but I could only get 4 as one of the 5 was already sold out before I got to the website that morning.

I ordered:

-4 Up You Gets Emotibombs
-4 Too Drunk... Emotibombs
-Happy Hippy Shower Gel (500 ml)
-Pineapple Grunt Soap
-Snow Globe Soap (I wanted Bohemian, but it was sold out. So I got this one instead!)

Now, the Boxing Day promotion that LUSH has on is that if you buy one Christmas Wrapped Gift or Regular Wrapped Gift, you get one of lesser or equal value free. Additionally, if you buy one Christmas holiday item, you get one of equal or lesser value free. So, to make the most of this sale, I also purchased the Stardust Gift Box (regular item). This meant that I qualified for 3 freebies when I checked out (because apparently the Pineapple Grunt Soap was also considered a Holiday item).

The freebies I chose are: another Pineapple Grunt Soap, an Ice Blue Soap, and the Ray of Sunshine Gift Box (regular item).

I think I scored! Especially with the free Gift Box. I like the idea of buying a Gift Box to test out items you are not 100% you will like. You don't get a full size product of most things, so you don't feel bad if you don't like one of the items. I am going to be sharing the contents of my boxes with my mom, since she really likes LUSH stuff too!

Originally, there was suppose to be a third store I would visit - Sephora. But, it turns out that one of the items I want is not available to Canada (in case you were wondering, its anything by Bobbi Brown; I wanted a Shimmer Brick in Nectar). I was not impressed about that.

Hopefully my packages will arrive soon! While you wait to see these two hauls, I will have at least one review posted and of course my December favorites! Keep checking back soon for new posts.

Have a great week!
