Happy New Year everyone! Welcome to 2011!
To kick-start this year, I thought I would share my cosmetics/beauty related resolutions with you.
For awhile, I toyed with the idea of doing a ‘Project 10 Pan’ or even ‘Project 5 Pan’ resolution, but decided it would not be in my best interest. Last year I gave it a try, and made it through four products before I gave up.
This year, I decided to be more practical and realistic with my resolutions, so I came up with three that I think are relatively easy to follow.
1. No ordering from Sephora this year.
2. Only buy new products to replace ones that you use up.
3. Ordering from MAC will not be a regular thing like it has been lately. I am resolved to only order from collections I really like - no ‘on a whim’ purchases.
I can promise you that I will still be doing reviews and posts on new products. The difference is that I will be purchasing them in much smaller volume (no purchases of 5 or 6 of the same item in different shades - one is enough!), and less frequently.
I am sure I can speak for all beauty bloggers/vloggers and say that if you only knew how much money I spend on makeup, your jaw would hit the floor.
I am still saving up money for a house, so for me the time has definitely come to be more practical with my money and start socking it away more diligently.
Did you make any beauty resolutions for 2011? If you did, I would love to know what they are!
Have a great weekend!
