Reason for Purchase
Cuteness. How adorable are these?
Notable Features
The company promises ‘A sweet and delicious lip balm leaves your lips silky smooth and moisturized!’
Made in Canada (Sylvan Lake, Alberta).
Packaging
These balms come in an adorable plastic cupcake. The frosting on the cupcake matches the shade of the balm and the flavor. Each balm is vacuum sealed in plastic to protect against product tampering and unsanitary conditions (people using the balm and putting it back and not buying it).
Experience Using Product
First of all, I love the scents. They are true to their names. The best of the four that I have is the Chocolate Raspberry - it smells amazing.
Second, the packaging is just too cute for words. It reminds me of my childhood - toys from the 80’s like Cherry Merry Muffin, and Strawberry Shortcake (the original, not the new one!). I love yanking one of these little balms out of my purse - it doesn’t look like a lip balm at all. It also looks cute on my desk at work.
You apply the balm with your finger; it’s very smooth and thin - not at all vaseline-like. It is formulated with beeswax, so the balm locks in moisture very well. It leaves a nice shine on your lips.
Would I Re-Purchase, Recommend, or Reject
I bought four of these, so I would definitely re-purchase. I would recommend this to anyone who wanted something cute and kitschy, but functional. A balm would make a cute addition to a gift basket, or a very simple ‘thank you’ gift for a girl friend.
