Experience Using Product

This Paint Pot is a high-shine, glittery pale pink. I think the idea is that the shade is suppose to mimic a rosé champagne.

Vintage Selection feels much more glossy and wet (greasy is actually a good descriptor) than the Paint Pots in the permanent collection and the pigmentation is definitely not as strong. When you blend it out on your eyelid, the pigmentation kind of disappears and you’re just left with the glitter.

I would have to say that Vintage Selection looks best as a base for shadows in the same sort of color family: light champagne colors, pale frosty pinks, and high-shine silvers. I’ve used it with MAC’s Vex eyeshadow, and it looks great; similarly, Naked Lunch looks great on top of it.

I don’t use this product as much as I would like - the glitter doesn’t really make it appropriate for work every day.

Would I Re-Purchase, Recommend, or Reject

As someone who loves cream eye shadow and Paint Pots, I really like having this Paint Pot in my collection. But, because of it’s limited uses for me, I don’t know that I would purchase it again - it would hardly be practical. I would only recommend this product to someone who really likes glittery makeup; if you’re not crazy about products like that, you can do without this one.

The Cham Pale collection is no longer available on the Canadian MAC website; check your local store or counter to see if they’ve got it there.
