Meet the Shower Jelly. This is from a gift box I purchased from LUSH on Boxing Day of 2010 (no, the Jelly is not expired yet - I checked!). It was a limited edition Shower Jelly for Christmas 2010: Iced Wine
I opened this last night to try instead of using my normal shower gel. It looks like a little tub of Jell-O, so I wasn't really sure how to approach using it! I read the instructions twice to make sure I knew what I was suppose to do with it.
I was surprised by this product. I honestly didn't think I was going to like it, but I do.
While this particular 'flavor' isn't really to my liking, I like the concept of the Shower Jelly. It lathers VERY well (much thicker lather than a shower gel) and leaves a light scent on the skin. I smooshed a blob of the jelly into a shower puff and lathered it up that way. But, apparently you can use the jelly without a loofa or puff and it works that way too. I am not sure I would want to use this on my hair, though, like LUSH claims you can (if anyone has used a Jelly as a shampoo, let me know what you thought!).
One thing I really wasn't keen on about this product was that the bits of jelly that broke off of my puff and didn't later all collected on the tub floor - I had to rinse the tub down after my shower was done so there wouldn't be any slippery soap bits leftover for the next person in my house who wanted to shower!
I could see using up a tub of Shower Jelly very quickly - so I am not sure I would want to pay full price for one. I would stick to buying them through gift boxes (like how I got this one) or getting them on sale.
Has anyone tried the current 'flavors' that LUSH has out? What do you all think about Shower Jellies? Let me know!
