I mentioned this polish in my haul post from the weekend. This week's nail polish is Essie's Wrapped in Rubies. This shade of polish is a deep burgundy red with gold and bronze shimmer. In the bottle, the polish looks like a very bronze/gold red. However, once you apply the polish to your nails, the burgundy really comes out and the bronze/shimmer just seems to act as a highlight.

I had to apply two coats of this polish in order to get the finish you see in these pictures. The polish applies fairly well - it streaks a bit if you don't quite have enough product on your brush. I've applied a top coat to keep the polish from chipping as fast - it seems (at least in my experience) that Essie polishes with shimmer in them tend to chip much faster than their matte or glossy polishes do.
I'm happy with this color. Because of its burgundy tone, this red is perfect to wear at the office. It would also be great for a fancy night out.
