Experience Using Product

I thought this was an interesting set of colors when I first bought it - very ‘different’ from the norm. That’s part of the reason why I was drawn to it. The other thing that drew me in was the purple color - a gorgeous shimmery ultra-violet; I own nothing else like it. The gold side of the duo is veined with purple and bronze and blends to create a funky two-tone eye shadow.

I’ve used this product with a base and without a base. My favorite way to wear it is over MAC’s Paint Pot in Indianwood. The gold/bronze shimmer of Indianwood really helps intensify the gold shade in Odd Couple; it also makes a beautiful base for the ultra-violet purple.

Would I Re-Purchase, Recommend, or Reject

There are a lot of people out there who do not like Mineralize eye shadows, claiming they are often chunky, glittery, fade easily, and have limited lasting power. I am not one of those people - I love MAC’s Mineralize products. This eye shadow is no exception - this is one of my favorite eye shadows.

I would recommend this product to you if you are looking to try a mineralize eyeshadow that has some edge and isn’t 100% neutral. The color can be worn very sheerly, or be built up to be more intense.

Remember that no two Mineralize eye shadow, blush, or skin finishes look the same - each has its own unique veining. My pot may have more or less of a certain color of veining than yours - that's just how the Mineralize products work!
