Experience Using Product

This Paint Pot is a high-shine, glittery pale coral with a golden undertone.

Much like Vintage Selection, Let Me Pop feels much more glossy and wet than the Paint Pots in the permanent collection, and the pigmentation is definitely not as strong. When you blend it out on your eyelid, the pigmentation kind of disappears and you’re just left with the glitter.

Let Me Pop is very close in shade to a Paint Pot in the permanent line called Rubenesque. The big difference is that Rubenesque has a pink undertone and is not glittery, while Let Me Pop has a golden undertone and does have glitter. Of the two, I prefer Let Me Pop, because the pink in Rubenesque made my eyes look swollen and gross - Let Me Pop does not do that.

This Paint Pot can be applied on its own for a simple eye shadow look, or you can layer other eye shadow colors over it and use it like an eye shadow base. MAC’s Gleam eye shadow looks beautiful over this Paint Pot, as does a light dusting of NARS’s Luster blush. I like to wear the Paint Pot by itself with a light dusting of setting powder to help it last and tone down some of the glitter.

Would I Re-Purchase, Recommend, or Reject

As someone who loves cream eye shadow and Paint Pots, I really like having this Paint Pot in my collection. I would only recommend this product to someone who really likes glittery makeup and doesn’t already have a cream eye shadow in a coral shade they love; if that doesn’t sound like you, you can probably do without this Paint Pot.

The Cham Pale collection is no longer available on the Canadian MAC website; check your local store or counter to see if they’ve got it there.
