REVIEW: Wet n Wild Megalast Lipstick
Product Brand and Name, Price (CDN), Where Purchased
Wet-n-Wild Megalast Lipstick, $3.77 CDN each @ Wal-Mart
Reason for Purchase
I have seen a crap-ton (yes, I just said crap-ton) of reviews of these lipsticks and wanted to try them out for myself.
Notable Features
All of the shades in this Wet ‘n’ Wild line of lip sticks are matte - there are no shimmers here! Normally I really like shimmery lipstick, but I find in my old age (lol) I am drawn more towards matte than shimmer.
Packaging
This lipstick comes in a black twist-tube with a clear lid.
Experience Using Product
These lipsticks are my favorite matte formula lipsticks. I get great coverage with this product and it is very long lasting.
The drawback to these lipsticks is that they are a smidge one the drying side. I put a lip balm under the lipstick and it helps stop the drying.
I also wish the shade range was a bit larger - I find there are a lot of dark shades, and most are in the red family. I like pinks, mauves, and corals, which there aren’t many of (at least not in the display at my Wal-Mart).
I have 5 of these lipsticks: 907C, 901B, 903C, 904B, 906D. All of these shades are pale and in the pink, peach and mauve families of shades.
Here is a swatch (same order as above):
My favorite shade in these lipsticks is 903C (a pretty peach color) - it’s gorgeous!
Would I Re-Purchase, Recommend, or Reject
Unless there are more shades in this line than are displayed at my Wal-Mart, I think I’ve got all of the shades I want. With that being said, I really like the shades that I’ve got. I would definitely re-purchase the shades I own when they run out.
I would recommend these lipsticks to you if you’re looking for a long-wearing, strongly pigmented matte lipstick.
