REVIEW: MAC Mineralize Blush Duo in A Little Bit of Sunshine

Product Brand and Name, Price (CDN), Where Purchased

MAC Mineralize Blush Duo in A Little Bit of Sunshine, $27.50 CDN @ MAC.ca

Reason for Purchase

I bought it at the same time I bought New Vibe. Why buy just one blush when you can get two? :)

I was drawn to this shade as it’s a bright happy orange color.

Notable Features

One side of this duo is a matte tawny brown (orange based brown) and the other is a metallic shimmery orange (not copper. orange).

This is a Limited Edition blush. I ordered it from the ‘Goodbyes’ section of the MAC website; I don’t know when it will disappear for good (probably not until they don’t have any left!).

Packaging

This blush comes in the standard black MAC compact.

Experience Using Product

Pale girls, be warned. Just a little bit of this on your brush will work just fine! You don’t need much to give you a nice pop of color on your cheeks.

It’s a little bright for ho-hum winter weather. I think that this would look amazing on tanned summer skin, and heavenly on women with darker complexions.

Would I Re-Purchase, Recommend, or Reject

I think this blush will probably stay on the shelf until around late May, early June, when we officially hit summer weather. Right now, it looks much too bright on my skin for the season; I live in an area of Canada that gets lots of snow, has -30 degree celsius (and colder!) weather, and is generally very white over the winter months (Nov - March - sometimes April!). So, any bright colors against the backdrop of all of that white just look really wrong.

With that being said, I am super happy with this purchase. If it were to be re-released in a future MAC collection, I would totally scoop another one up. If bright colored blushes are a favorite of yours (and you don’t mind shimmer), I would recommend this blush to you.
